Magnificence @ Pew 11

I woke up late this morning to make the 10:30 service. Oh well, I'll just make the 5PM.

I got up and chatted online a little. I also waited to see the race in NY, but that got rained out. I wanted to go eat at Cheddars or even Chili's, but I settled for a tuna sandwich at Subway. It was good!

I came back to my apartment and chatted a little bit. I noticed the clock getting closer and closer to 5. So I excused myself and went to get ready. Brown kaki pants and light off-white sweatshirt. The white looks good on me due to my complexion from what people tell me. The beard (i'm trying for the first time ever for the past few weeks to grow one and surprise my mom when I see her next weekend) makes me look even darker.

I got to church and few people were there. I took a seat in pew 12 (I counted the number after mass for purposes of this story). I was there a good 20 minutes before Mass started. While I was there praying and repenting of my gawd-awful sins, her and her family took the pew in front of me. I've noticed her before, and she's noticed me.

Three weeks or so ago at the earlier service, as I genuflected outside my pew to leave, as I turned and made my way out I noticed her looking at me out of the corner of my eye. She too was leaving her pew, a few behind me. I didn't make eye contact back but I know those large brown eyes. Anyway...

I saw her and we made eye contact as she and her family pulled into the pew in front of me. Although she was in front of me, she was at the far left end of the pew section, whereas I was on the far right. As I sat back on my pew from kneeling, I noticed two people on my right side who wanted in. It was my buddy and his kid; I said, "hey" and moved to my left so they could sit down. After moving over and them sitting down, they both shook my hand. As I turned back to my left, I noticed that she was looking at me again and then she looked away. It was ever so clear yet hardly subtle; afterall, I was now within five feet of her.

Mass started, and we proceeded to worship. You know us catholics: sit, stand, sit, stand, kneel, shake hands, sit and kneel, sit, stand, kneel, kneel, kneel, stand, sit, kneel, lay down and then stand up again....... I love Analyze This (Billy Crystal and Robert Dinero). The Mass went as normal with my fighting off weird thoughts...however I was reminded come collection time that I don't know where my checkbook is at! Damn! Its here at my desk somewhere; I don't know where.

As communion lines formed, I sat out. I haven't been, but am in desperate need of Confession. She went to communion, and as I noticed her coming around the corner up front to come back, I turned my head in the other direction to see how long the line was. I then put my head in my hands and as I looked up, she was coming into her pew. I looked up and sure enough she made eye contact with me and smiled.

I've noticed her before. She's a beautiful brunette w/ brown eyes, fair skin. She seems to be a wonderful mother by the way she tends to her children. She might be 5'4 or 5'5 at best. She smiles from time to time and I even noticed she puts her arm around her husband. The world could pass by her and think she's pretty, but I think she's magnificent!

If I ever get married, I want a wife like her.
